Why voice-only chat
Video can feel like a lot, and text can feel slow. Voice sits in between: you get a real conversation, with jokes, accents and pauses, while staying off camera.
It is perfect for late-night talks, practising a language, or chatting while you walk, cook or game.
Sound better on a call
- Use headphones to stop echo.
- Find a quiet spot, or mute when there is background noise.
- Check the browser has permission to use the right microphone.
Voice chat and privacy
Nobody sees you in voice mode, but your voice is still personal. Don't say your full name, address or other details that identify you, and leave any chat that makes you uncomfortable.

Is the camera ever turned on?
No. Voice mode only asks for the microphone and never sends video.
Are calls recorded?
VibeMatch does not record calls. Recording other people without permission breaks the rules.
Can I voice chat on my phone?
Yes. It works in the browser on iPhone and Android.
What if I can't hear anything?
Check your volume and that the browser is allowed to use audio. If your match has muted, try saying hi in text or press Next.
