What is Omegle?
Omegle launched in 2009 and became the best-known random chat site on the web. It paired two strangers at random, first by text and later by video, with optional interest tags to steer who you met.
In November 2023 its founder shut the site down, saying the fight against misuse had become impossible to sustain. The homepage has shown a farewell letter ever since, so every "Omegle" you find today is a different site using the name.
Why people look for a Omegle alternative
