What is Monkey?
Monkey is a phone app built around fast, casual video chats with strangers. You sign up, get matched, and swipe on to the next person.
It became popular with a young audience, which is one reason adults go looking for an 18+ site instead.
Why people look for a Monkey alternative
- Adults want a place where everyone else is an adult too.
- Signing up with a phone number or a social account is a step some people would rather skip.
- Talking from a laptop is easier with a browser site than with a phone app.
Moving over from Monkey
- Open the site, confirm you are 18 or older, and press Start video.
- Next and Esc skip just as quickly as a swipe.
- On a computer you get a bigger picture and a keyboard for text chat.
Whichever mode you use, the same rules apply. Read the safety guide.
